The POWERGRID Centre of Excellence (PGCoE) has been established to facilitate research and development in cyber security, specifically related to transmission and grid operation. PGCoE is looking for motivated candidates for research and development in the domain of cybersecurity.
Candidates will be required to work the following domain (but not limited to)
Perform modelling and analysis of large-scale Cyber Physical Systems.
Develop cyber security solutions in integrated power grid using advanced machine learning and AI techniques.
Impact analysis of cyber-attacks on Cyber Physical Systems.

Job Description
1.0 Technical Lead (Network & System Security) – 01
Qualification: MTech/MTech (E&C, CS, IS, Cybersecurity or Equivalent)
Experience: 8 to 10 years in area of cyber security & cyber assurance, protocol engineering & hardening, OS hardening. Knowledge on NIST framework/NERC CIP/etc Implementation knowledge of Power Systems protocols is essential. Knowledge on IEC 62443 & IEC 62351 will be added advantage.
2.0 Technical Lead (Embedded Security) – 01
Qualification: MTech/MTech or Equivalent (E&C, VLSI, Embedded Systems or Equivalent)
Experience: 8 to 10 years in area of device security/assurance, IC life-cycle supply chain management, IP Core design, design/testing tools/Vulnerability scanners/Firmware Analysis. FPGA programming. Knowledge on NIST framework/NERC CIP/Secure Design tools/etc. Implementation knowledge of Power Systems protocols is essential. Knowledge on IEC 62443, IEC 62351 & cryptographic algorithms will be added advantage.
3.0 Project Scientist (Data) – 1 nos
Qualification
Bachelor’s in engineering (Computer Science/ ECE/EE or Equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in data science or machine learning or Masters in Engineering with 1+ years of experience in data science
Skillset
Working knowledge open-source AI/ML tools, big data analytics tools, etc
Coding experience in the following, C, C++, Python, Node.js, Java.
Knowledge in Cybersecurity will be added advance.
4.0 Project Scientist (Software Developer) – 2 nos.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering or Masters Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engg, IT systems or related qualifications
Skillset
Coding experience in the following, C, C++, Python, Node.js, Java.
Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Good problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
Knowledge in Cybersecurity will be added advance.
5.0 Remuneration
Remuneration is commensurate with experience and skill set, competitive with industry. Full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of three years (can be extended upto 5 years), initially with probation of six months.
