The POWERGRID Centre of Excellence (PGCoE) has been established to facilitate research and development in cyber security, specifically related to transmission and grid operation. PGCoE is looking for motivated candidates for research and development in the domain of cybersecurity.
Candidates will be required to work the following domain (but not limited to)
- Perform modelling and analysis of large-scale Cyber Physical Systems.
- Develop cyber security solutions in integrated power grid using advanced machine learning and AI techniques.
- Impact analysis of cyber-attacks on Cyber Physical Systems.
- Device Security (including supply chain)
Job Description
1.0 Technical Officer (Network & System Security) – 01
Qualification: PhD/MTech (E&C, CS, IS, Cybersecurity or Equivalent)
Experience: 8 to 10 years in area of cyber security & cyber assurance, protocol engineering & hardening, OS hardening. Knowledge on NIST framework/NERC CIP/etc Implementation knowledge of Power Systems protocols is essential. Knowledge on IEC 62443 & IEC 62351 will be added advantage.
2.0 Technical Officer (Embedded Security) – 01
Qualification: PhD/MTech or Equivalent (E&C, VLSI, Embedded Systems or Equivalent)
Experience: 8 to 10 years in area of device security/assurance, IC life-cycle supply chain management, IP Core design, design/testing tools/Vulnerability scanners/Firmware Analysis. FPGA programming. Knowledge on NIST framework/NERC CIP/Secure Design tools/etc. Implementation knowledge of Power Systems protocols is essential. Knowledge on IEC 62443, IEC 62351 & cryptographic algorithms will be added advantage.
3.0 Project Scientist/Project Engineer (Data) – 1 no
Qualification
Masters/Bachelor’s in engineering (Computer Science/ ECE/EE or Equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in data science or machine learning or Masters in Engineering with 1+ years of experience in data science.
Skillset
- Working knowledge open-source AI/ML tools, big data analytics tools, etc
- Coding experience in the following, C, C++, Python, Node.js, Java.
- Knowledge in Cybersecurity will be added advance.
4.0 Project Scientist/Project Engineer (Software Developer) – 2 nos.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering or Masters Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engg, IT systems or related qualifications
Skillset
- Coding experience in the following, C, C++, Python, Node.js, Java.
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Good problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
- Knowledge in Cybersecurity will be added advance.
5.0 Technical Writer – 1 no
Qualifications & required skills
- Bachelor’s/Master Computer applications/Mass Communications
- Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in using XML tools to create documentation
6.0 Admin and Finance Assistant–1 no
Seeking application from 5+ experience professional in providing administrative & financial support. The role cover to ensure efficient operations of the center, co-ordinating center financial activities, handling center supplies, assistance in documentation management. Good Knowledge of accounting & taxation practices will be added advantage.
Qualification: BCom or Equivalent. Experience: 5+ years

7.0 Remuneration
Remuneration is commensurate with experience and skill set, competitive with industry.
Terms of appointment : Full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of three years (can be extended up to 5 years), initially with probation of one year.
