The POWERGRID Centre of Excellence (PGCoE) has been established to facilitate research and development in cyber security, specifically related to transmission and grid operation. PGCoE is looking for motivated candidates for research and development in the domain of cybersecurity.
Candidates will be required to work the following domain (but not limited to)
- Perform modelling and analysis of large-scale Cyber Physical Systems.
- Develop cyber security solutions in integrated power grid using advanced machine learning and AI techniques.
- Impact analysis of cyber-attacks on Cyber Physical Systems.

Job Description
1.0 Technical Officer (Network & System Security) – 01
Qualification: PhD/MTech (E&C, CS, IS, Cybersecurity or Equivalent)
Experience: 8 to 10 years in area of cyber security & cyber assurance, protocol engineering & hardening, OS hardening. Knowledge on NIST framework/NERC CIP/etc Implementation knowledge of Power Systems protocols is essential. Knowledge on IEC 62443 & IEC 62351 will be added advantage.

Knowledge on IEC 62443, IEC 62351 & cryptographic algorithms will be added advantage.
3.0 Project Scientist/Project Engineer (Data) – 1 no
Qualification
Masters/Bachelor’s in engineering (Computer Science/ ECE/EE or Equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in data science or machine learning or Masters in Engineering with 1+ years of experience in data science.
Skillset
- Working knowledge open-source AI/ML tools, big data analytics tools, etc
- Coding experience in the following, C, C++, Python, Node.js, Java.

Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering or Masters Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engg, IT systems or related qualifications

Qualifications & required skills

- Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content

The role cover to ensure efficient operations of the center, co-ordinating center financial activities, handling center supplies, assistance in documentation management. 7.0 Remuneration
Remuneration is commensurate with experience and skill set, competitive with industry.

Role Overview We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with strong foundations in systems security, and cyber defense, The role involves securing enterprise and critical infrastructure environments through continuous assessment, monitoring, and incident response. This position is ideal for candidates trained in network security, OS hardening, ethical hacking and compliance standards and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Red Team (Offensive Security)
- Conduct penetration testing on networks, systems, web, and APIs and test against OWASP Risks.
- Perform vulnerability assessment, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities
- Use ethical hacking techniques including scanning, enumeration, password attacks, MITM, and DoS
- Develop attack scripts and automation
Blue Team

We are looking for an early-career Embedded Hardware Security Engineer to support secure design, testing, and validation of embedded systems used in power grid and critical infrastructure environments.
