The POWERGRID Centre of Excellence (PGCoE) has been established to facilitate research and development in the area of cyber security, specifically related to transmission and grid operation. The objective is to establish a solid foundation for achieving excellence in the field of cyber security for operational infrastructure.
This facility will engage in R&D aspects of cyber security of power systems, including security analytics for situation awareness, competency building, and the development of defense systems for potential future cyberattacks.
The PGCoE will serve as a centre and think tank for POWERGRID’s cyber security concerns, bringing together experts from academia, research laboratories, and industry under one umbrella.
