SUMMARY:“GRIDSEC 2025: Symposium on Cyber Security in Operational
 Technologies(Hardware Security)”
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the second annual symposium\,
“GRIDSEC 2025: One Day Symposium on Cyber Security in Operational
Technologies” with a theme of “Hardware Security” from POWERGRID
Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity (PGCoE)\, Indian Institute of
Science\, Bangaluru\, on 23rd May 2025\, at the Department of Electrical
Engineering\, IISc Bangalore. The PGCoE is conducting this symposium in
collaboration with the Society for Electronic Transactions and Security
(SETS) Chennai GoI\, and Data Security Council of India (DSCI) Delhi and
Noida.\n\nThis high-level gathering will convene a select group of domain
 experts\, senior industry stakeholders\, government representatives\, and
academic researchers to deliberate on pressing challenges and advancements
in securing the hardware foundations of power infrastructure systems.\n\nAs
the energy sector undergoes rapid digital transformation\, the integration
of OT systems with IT networks has significantly increased the exposure of
critical infrastructure to sophisticated cyber-physical threats. In
particular\, vulnerabilities at the hardware level often deeply embedded
and difficult to detect present substantial risks to the reliability\,
safety\, and resilience of national power systems.\n\nSymposium
Objectives\n\nThe symposium seeks to facilitate informed discussion and
knowledge exchange on the following core topics:\n\n \nThreat intelligence
and emerging attack vectors targeting hardware in OT environments\n\n\n\n
\nSecurity-by-design principles for critical energy sector
 hardware\n\n\n\n \nVulnerability assessment and mitigation
 approaches\n\n\n\n \nReal-world case studies and incident analyses\n\n\n\n
Frameworks for public-private collaboration and regulatory
considerations\n\nThrough this symposium\, we would create a platform for
the hardware cybersecurity community\, which includes experts from
academia\, industry and start-ups.\n\nThe goal of the symposium is to
identify the building blocks of computational and communication problems to
be addressed\, which could be used by the Transmission and grid operators
 of the country. Potential short-term (1-2 years)\, medium-term (3-5
years)\, and long-term (&gt\;5 years) problem statements and people who
would be interested in strongly contributing to the development of
solutions in a mission mode will be
identified.\n\nAttendance\nParticipation in this symposium is by
invitation. This approach ensures a focused and confidential environment
conducive to strategic dialogue and collaboration among key
 stakeholders.\n\nFurther Information\nDetails regarding the agenda\,
speakers\, and symposium proceedings will be shared with invited
participants in due course. For further inquiries or to express interest in
 future engagements\, please contact us\n\nGridSec-2025(Report)
