SUMMARY:“GRIDSEC 2025: Symposium on Cyber Security in Operational Technol
 ogies(Hardware Security)”
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the second annual symposium\, “GRI
DSEC 2025: One Day Symposium on Cyber Security in Operational Technologies
” with a theme of “Hardware Security” from POWERGRID Centre of Excel
lence in Cybersecurity (PGCoE)\, Indian Institute of Science\, Bangaluru\,
on 23rd May 2025\, at the Department of Electrical Engineering\, IISc Ban
galore. The PGCoE is conducting this symposium in collaboration with the S
ociety for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS) Chennai GoI\, and D
ata Security Council of India (DSCI) Delhi and Noida.\n\nThis high-level g
athering will convene a select group of domain experts\, senior industry s
takeholders\, government representatives\, and academic researchers to del
iberate on pressing challenges and advancements in securing the hardware f
oundations of power infrastructure systems.\n\nAs the energy sector underg
oes rapid digital transformation\, the integration of OT systems with IT n
etworks has significantly increased the exposure of critical infrastructur
e to sophisticated cyber-physical threats. In particular\, vulnerabilities
at the hardware level often deeply embedded and difficult to detect prese
nt substantial risks to the reliability\, safety\, and resilience of natio
nal power systems.\n\nSymposium Objectives\n\nThe symposium seeks to facil
itate informed discussion and knowledge exchange on the following core top
ics:\n\n \nThreat intelligence and emerging attack vectors targeting hard
ware in OT environments\n\n\n\n \nSecurity-by-design principles for criti
cal energy sector hardware\n\n\n\n \nVulnerability assessment and mitigat
ion approaches\n\n\n\n \nReal-world case studies and incident analyses\n\
n\n\n 	       Frameworks for public-private collaboration and regulato
ry considerations\n\nThrough this symposium\, we would create a platform f
or the hardware cybersecurity community\, which includes experts from acad
emia\, industry and start-ups.\n\nThe goal of the symposium is to identify
the building blocks of computational and communication problems to be add
ressed\, which could be used by the Transmission and grid operators of the
  country. Potential short-term (1-2 years)\, medium-term (3-5 years)\, and
long-term (&gt\;5 years) problem statements and people who would be inter
ested in strongly contributing to the development of solutions in a missio
n mode will be identified.\n\nAttendance\nParticipation in this symposium
is by invitation. This approach ensures a focused and confidential environ
ment conducive to strategic dialogue and collaboration among key stakehold
 ers.\n\nFurther Information\nDetails regarding the agenda\, speakers\, and
symposium proceedings will be shared with invited participants in due cou
rse. For further inquiries or to express interest in future engagements\,
 please contact us\n\nGridSec-2025(Report)
